A bunch of new parts, like coils and wires (the good ones, not the knockoffs), knock sensor, egr? I don’t remember.
The good: #1? IT’S A WAGON. this was a garage find, so body and interior are in good shape. Brand new tires with about 300 miles? on them. Timing belt was recently checked and is in good shape. I don’t believe it burns oil, and head gasket is ok. 188k is low miles for one of these. New oil, radiator and trans fluid. Newer (9/24) battery. It’s free of dog hair that plagues Subarus. Comes with a bunch of documentation from previous owners.
The bad: things that need addressing- miss in cyl 3, transmission has a stuck torque converter solenoid so have a fuse in the 2 wheel drive mode (might be a change the fluid a couple more times fix); brake light recently came on, brakes are grabbing and grinding a bit and is probably due for new pads, gas filler tube needs replacement, leaks oil behind timing belt cover onto exhaust so you can kill mosquitos on your way. Rear hatch needs a new lock. Needs tabs for this year.

This was a summer project that got superseded by other summer projects. Come make it a winter beater or fix it up or drive it as is and hoon it on the frozen lake!
