The wall thickness averages around 7" and the hand hewn faces run from 9" to 16" tall with most averaging around 12".
There is a 17 ft. opening in one wall which was probably made when the cabin was added onto early in its life after the family had grown and indoor plumbing was discovered. This modification shouldn't be looked at as an obstacle but rather as a benefit to use for a kitchen/bath addition the same as the pioneers.
This cabin been dismantled and the logs have been cleaned up and fumigated. I'm offering this erected shell on your slab foundation with a vaulted roof covered with synthetic underlayment and ready for roofing. It also includes free delivery within 100 miles of Mankato to your building site. If you are interested in additional services such as chinking the logs and a weather-tight shell for 2025 give me a call or text. For a limited time we also have a fully restored log shell in the log yard for you to see an actual cabin after being restored before it is dismantled and shipped.
NOTICE; Please know that the finished pictures are from a nearly identical cabin that I salvaged from the same area and restored over twenty years ago. They are intended to show you what the finished product will look like once it is fully restored and contains more work than what is included in this post. How much more depends on how much you can do yourself and what you expect to be included.
