I was astounded to read in Saturday's edition of the Free Press an article titled "Vandalizing Public Art Troubling Attitude". The article states: "Young people can be forgiven, and if their acts were alcohol-fueled it may be hard for many of us to throw stones" Are you effin kidding me? The City has made alcohol the economic engine of downtown and now the Free Press is suggesting that if vandalism is the result of alcohol abuse, it somehow isn't as bad. Your opinion staff needs to review their core values because they aren't shared by most in this community.
